Moral Nullness - Soldiers or Murderers?
Kim.E expresses profound anger at the hypocrisy, violence, ignorance, and propaganda perpetuated by mainstream media and political leaders. She criticises the use of tax dollars to support nations with destructive intentions, condemns soldiers and generals for their roles in wartime atrocities, and calls out the religious and moral contradictions of those who condone such actions. Kim.E argues against the involvement of religion in politics, economy, and leadership, suggesting that religious beliefs should remain a personal matter without being used to justify violence or suppress free speech.
Exposing Hypocrisy: Religion, War, and Corrupt Leadership
I too am enraged with the hypocrisy, the carnage, the ignorance, the bigotry, and all the ridiculous, biased propaganda that mainstream media spews forth daily.
How dare our political leaders stand in solidarity with any nation, or nations, capable of such annihilation, and then proclaim that their nation, which of course means all the citizens of that nation, support their bold statements, even if they were never asked, as their brazenly highlight their superfluous speeches with false morals.
How can we accept that our corrupt untrustworthy leaders provide moral, financial, political, or military support on our behalf and give our hard-earned taxes to nations that have murderous intentions?
Soldiers are meant to protect, and instead they are the militia with the green card to play out their wildest fantasies in the predesignated killing fields. But perhaps that reveals my naivety because soldiers have always been trained to kill and not protect. Their psychopathic, well-paid generals are groomed to order the soldiers beneath them to their death, if need be, to serve some imperialistic, colonialistic, power-grab.
I have lost all my respect for those soldiers who proudly proclaim their right-to-defence as they sniper defenceless, men, women, and children, and target knee caps for fun competition. They should be incarcerated for murder. The soldiers in the killing fields are no better than those seated comfortably within the safety of their headquarters with their finger on a shoot-to-kill drone. Killing innocent children on a playground is all in a day's work! For fucks sake, we are talking about human lives and not some ping-ping-boom video game. Don't these people have a conscience, or are they just soulless individuals blindly driven by their religious, hateful ideologies?
Then there are the masses of people who believe that such actions are absolutely necessary and righteous. How can any human being with a soul condone such actions? Not speaking out against it is your silent agreement of it. There are obviously masses of religious, white middle-class intellectuals with false morals who truly hate themselves, especially considering that "Love thy neighbour as thyself" is a biblical, holy commandment. They certainly don't have much love going around for their middle-east neighbours, yet they proclaim to have religious, moral standards. What about "Thy shalt not kill"? Such hypocrisy! Instead that ignorantly support a religious state as it rages it's "mowing the lawn warfare" supported by its radical ideology.
Just keep the war machines turning and the massive corporations and their shareholders keep earning. When do human beings become human? Bloody good question. When does religion leave the world stage and become the personal, private practice that has nothing to do with anyone else except you, yourself, your morals, your God, and your four walls?
Religion has no place in politics, economy or leadership, and shouldn't be leveraged to condone killing of any kind, or to determine who is a sinner or a Saint, or who goes to heaven or hell. Religion is a power play employed by those who wish to use it as a reason to invade, displace and murder people, or feel it is their holy right to interfere with sexuality and the sexual preferences of others, and want to keep people submissive and subservient. Have your religious beliefs and leave the rest of us alone to decide for ourselves. Our leaders shall stop using religion as the right to exploit, destroy and kill others.
More importantly, religion should not be used as a weapon against free speech to prevent people from voicing their criticism or protesting against the actions of powerful states that hide behind religious dogma.
The above text was inspired by Max Porter's monologue, "Wild West", on the weapons industry with reference to the Gaza Genocide.
"Wild West" is a powerful critique of the arms trade industry and the moral corruption inherent in its operation. Max Porter discusses how companies and individuals involved in the manufacturing and selling of weapons contribute to global violence, using language from trade websites to highlight the dispassionate and often deceptive discourse surrounding the business. Max Porter juxtaposes the normalcy of everyday life for those involved in the arms trade with the devastating impact of their products on human lives. He questions the moral justifications individuals make to live with their actions and highlights the dissonance between personal ethics and professional deeds. The script ultimately calls for a recognition of shared humanity and condemns the ongoing commodification of violence.
